Methodology & Sources
Our Mission
Epic Fury Live is a free, public-service conflict tracker maintained by independent contributors. We exist to provide clarity without spin—delivering verified information about the US-Israel-Iran conflict in real-time.
Our goal is straightforward: help the public understand what is actually happening, who said what, and what evidence supports each claim. We distinguish between facts, analysis, and conjecture. We correct errors immediately. We do not engage in advocacy or sensationalism.
Source Tier System
We classify all information according to source credibility. This helps you understand how much confidence we have in each claim.
Official government statements (CENTCOM, Department of Defense, Israeli Defense Forces), UN agencies, IAEA reports, and direct statements from recognized military authorities. These are the highest-confidence sources because they come directly from organizations with institutional responsibility for accuracy.
Reuters, Associated Press, Agence France-Presse, BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera, PBS, and comparable international news organizations. We require at least 2 independent sources from this tier before reporting claims as factual. These outlets maintain editorial standards and verify reporting.
Social media accounts, Telegram channels, single-source reports, and eyewitness testimony. We report these stories because they may contain valuable information, but we always label them as unconfirmed. Information from Tier 3 sources is flagged visually so readers understand the verification status.
Confidence Ratings
Every claim on Epic Fury Live is tagged with one of four confidence levels:
Multiple Tier 1 or Tier 2 sources independently verify the claim. The information has been cross-checked and contradictions resolved. These are facts we are confident about.
Strong evidence from credible sources supports the claim, but it has not been independently verified by multiple outlets. The information is probably accurate, but there is room for revision as more data emerges.
Information comes from a single source or represents eyewitness reports we have not been able to corroborate. This may be accurate and may prove important, but it requires independent verification before we treat it as established fact.
We have confirmed that a claim is false. The original report is retained with a correction note explaining why the claim was incorrect and what evidence contradicts it. Transparency means showing our errors, not hiding them.
Corrections Policy
Mistakes happen. When we identify errors in our reporting, we correct them immediately and log the correction with a timestamp. Corrections are not hidden—they are noted clearly in the updated entry so readers can see exactly what changed and when.
We do not delete incorrect entries. Instead, we update them transparently so the public can see our error-checking process at work. This approach builds trust and accountability.
Editorial Standards
Epic Fury Live follows these editorial principles:
- No sensationalism. We report facts without exaggeration or inflammatory language designed to provoke emotional reactions.
- No glorification of violence. We report deaths, injuries, and destruction factually, not as achievements or spectacles.
- Uncertainty is labeled. When information is incomplete or contradictory, we say so explicitly rather than presenting uncertainty as fact.
- Analysis is separated from facts. Opinion and interpretation are clearly marked as such and are presented separately from factual reporting. Readers can distinguish what happened from what we think about what happened.
- Attribution is precise. Every major claim includes a source attribution so readers can verify where information comes from.
What We Don't Do
- No speculation. We do not present guesses or theories as facts, even when the guess seems reasonable.
- No unverified casualty claims. Death tolls are reported only when sourced to credible outlets or official statements. When casualty figures vary widely, we report the range and identify the source of each estimate.
- No political advocacy. We do not campaign for policy positions, endorse political candidates, or frame conflicts around partisan narratives. Our job is to help you understand what is happening, not to tell you what to think about it.
- No original intelligence. We do not publish leaked documents, classified information, or original investigations. We synthesize publicly available reporting.
